The China-Brazil Earth Resources Satellites

A Sino-Brazilian cooperation program, the CBERS-01 and CBERS-02 satellites were successfully launched on LM-4 launch vehicles on October 14, 1999 and October 21, 2003. This was followed by the successful launch of CBERS-02B on an LM-4B launch vehicle on September 19, 2003, a clear demonstration of China's ability to develop earth resources satellites and satellite application products. The CBERS-01, 02 and 02B satellite programs are good examples of cooperation between developing countries, and this international cooperation is set to continue, with CBERS-03 and 04 in the near future.
