From April 18 to 19, 2007, CGWIC participated in an Enterprise Export Control Seminar held by the China Arms Control and Disarmament Association (CACDA) and the Center for International Trade and Security (CITC) of the University of Georgia. This is the second time that CGWIC has participated in this type of seminar held by these two entities in Beijing, in which a number of experts and scholars from well-known businesses share their export control experiences with other seminar participants. The vice president and director of CGWIC’s ICP committee participated in the seminar.
During the seminar, CGWIC vice president Mr. Hua Chongzhi delivered a speech titled “CGWIC’s Export Control System”, in which he provided a brief introduction to the great progress that CGWIC has made in export control, and declared that CGWIC would continue to uphold its promises to the international community, as well as moving to fulfill its nonproliferation obligations and clearly setting non-proliferation above its commercial interests.
